ZIMNGOs exists to remove the information barrier that keeps Zimbabwean organisations and professionals from the work and funding they are qualified for. Vacancies, grant calls and tenders in this sector are scattered across mailing lists, closed groups and donor portals that most people never see. We collect them, check them, and publish them in one place that anyone can reach — at no charge to either side.
We are a registered non-profit company working exclusively on Zimbabwe's humanitarian and development sector. We charge no fees, carry no advertising, and sell no data.
We exist to make opportunity access simple, transparent and sector-specific — ensuring jobs, funding calls, sub-grants and tenders reach the right organisations and professionals.
Many great roles and calls for funding are shared in private WhatsApp groups or email chains. While this happens naturally, it unintentionally limits access. Qualified candidates miss out on roles they never hear about, and organisations miss out on fresh talent. We wanted to create a central, open space where everyone has a fair chance to see what's out there.
When navigating general job boards, professionals often have to sift through heavy advertising just to find the core details of a listing. We believe serious opportunities should be easy to read and navigate. That's why we've committed to keeping our platform entirely ad-free, so the focus stays entirely on the scope, deadlines and eligibility of the work.
Many capable, hard-working organisations still use generic free email addresses. While it seems like a small detail, it can unintentionally impact how established they look to potential funders. The frustrating part is that many of these groups already qualify for free programmes that provide professional, custom-domain emails — they just haven't been connected to those resources yet. We realised we could do more than just post jobs; we could help these organisations put their best foot forward.
Our goal is straightforward: make the sector's opportunities widely visible, present them clearly, and share resources that help local organisations reflect the true credibility of their work. Ultimately, we believe that when funding lands in Zimbabwe, it builds something meaningful for all of us.
